Midget Gold remained undefeated after a 13-0 win against Western Silver on Saturday. Matt Klein led the offense down the field on their first possession of the game. Easton Royals made some great runs including a 25 yard touchdown run which was followed by a hard run by Gray Breeden for the extra point. Special teams then took over the game. Both Jovan Hughes and Patrick Haley recovered kick-offs, and Jovan ran the second half kick all the way back for a touchdown. With a 13 point lead, the defense continued their strong play. Varqiece Munford, Taylor Merritt and Tommy Hongcharti dominated the middle of the field, and Parker Shaw, Sam McRoberts and Chase Estes helped shut down the outside. An interception late by Blake Fratrick sealed the victory. Great win boys and good luck next Saturday!
