Happy Sunday RedHawks Families!
Two quotes come to mind from yesterday’s games. First by Chuck Noll “In order to win the game, you must first not lose it.” Second by Lou Holtz “Life is ten percent what happens to you, and ninety percent how you respond to it.” Response to a loss is the most important! You can’t always control what happens on the field but you can control how you respond to it! Keep getting back up after you get knocked down. That’s the only way to improve and grow from a loss. Each and every one of the players and cheerleaders did an amazing job yesterday. Hard work, determination, grit are all words that come to mind for these RedHawks!
This upcoming week’s game is away at Blue Star. First game starts at 9am with flag, 8U at 10am, 10U at 11am and 12U at 12pm. These games will be held at Courthouse Park – 7232 Courtland Farm Rd, Hanover, VA. Please arrive when your coach tells you to arrive for warm ups. If your child will not be at the game, tell your coach now so they can make plans and plays ahead of time. Ensure all volunteer assignments have been filled. If you still have a spot open on your team, please fill it. Thank you to everyone who volunteered at our first home game.
As a reminder when not only at our field but away fields – please ensure you and your family and friends clean up at yourselves. Do not leave trash behind. How we leave the field is a reflection of Kanawha. We pride ourselves in being put together and having a clean field.
If you need make up pictures – stay tuned as we work out a schedule with the photographer. If you are wanting to purchase pictures, please see the email sent by TSS Photography with your child’s individual and team picture. You can purchase them any time and will be mailed directly to your home. Speaking of pictures, some pictures (not professional) have been posted on TeamSnap under Photos. If you take pictures at the games, please upload them for all to enjoy. We will be using these photos for the end of year as well as social media.
