RedHawks Weekly News 9.1.24
Happy Sunday RedHawks Fam!
What a game day we had on Saturday! Congratulations to our Flag team on their win! Just a reminder we do not have practice Monday, enjoy your holiday!
Special note from our President, John Tyler:
“Our RedHawks family means a lot to us. This means we take safety seriously as a league. Due to recent events, Kanawha will be purchasing Guardian Caps for our all of our Tackle players to use during practices. Guardian Cap is a line of soft-shell pads that attach to and cover the outside of a football helmet. They have been used in football practices since 2015, with the National Football League. This will be purchased by Kanawha and returned at the end of the season with their jersey and helmets. If you have any questions, let us know by asking a board member or coach.”
Some reminders for game days:
-No spectators or any non staff/players/cheerleaders are allowed on the other side of the rope on the field.
-All spectators must have appropriate observed behavior.
-Most of all have fun and show your RedHawks team spirit.
Next game is a home game with the flag game starting at 9am. Remember to sign up for your game day volunteer slots!
Coming soon! Homecoming Week! We will be holding a pep rally on Thursday, September 12th and our game day September 14th will be special with tons of activities, food and more. Stay tuned for more information!
