Volunteers

We’re Powered by Parent Power!

Kanawha is a non-profit association fueled entirely by the energy and dedication of our amazing parent volunteers. That's right—every coach, every board member, and every person working behind the scenes is giving their time for the love of the game—no one is paid! This means we need all hands on deck to keep everything running smoothly.

Whether it's helping with game day prep, organizing events, or lending a hand at practices, your time and effort make a big difference. So, let’s team up and make this season the best one yet! Here are some of the ways you can get involved:

  • Team Parent
  • Committee Volunteers
  • Concession stand helpers
  • Announcers
  • Game Chains
  • AND MORE

Every bit of help counts—and together, we can make it happen!

TEAM PARENT: Your Fun, Season-Long Adventure!

Ready to be a key part of the team? As a Team Parent, you'll get to stay involved, cheer on the kids, and help keep things running smoothly all season long. It’s a fun, rewarding role that makes a big impact—whether it’s organizing team events, coordinating communications, or supporting the coaches, you’ll be right there in the action, making memories with everyone!

Committee Volunteers: Join the Fun and Make a Difference!

We’re always looking for awesome parents to help out on various committees throughout the season! Whether it’s helping with Homecoming, running the Concessions stand, organizing Fundraisers, or managing the Field, there’s a spot for you to pitch in and make things run smoothly. It’s a great way to get involved, connect with other families, and contribute to making this season unforgettable for everyone!

Home Game Volunteers: Get in on the Action!

We need awesome volunteers to help make our home games a success! Here are some ways you can pitch in and be part of the fun:

  • Concession Stand Helpers: Take orders, run the register, and keep the snacks flowing!
  • Announcers: Bring the excitement to the field by announcing the game and keeping fans pumped!
  • Clock Operators: Learn the ropes with a quick certification class and help keep time running smoothly.
  • Field & Ground Volunteers: From lining the field the night before to setting up and tearing down on game day, we need hands to make everything happen!

It’s a great way to get involved, have fun, and be part of the game day excitement!

Away Game Volunteers: Join the Chain Crew!

Help keep the game on track by being part of our Chain Crew! We need 3 volunteers to manage the chains and markers during away games. It’s a key role in helping the game run smoothly and gives you a front-row seat to all the action!

Get Involved—It’s Worth It!

Making the effort to volunteer not only benefits your child, but also gives you a chance to connect with the team, meet other parents, and be a part of something special. We promise it’ll be a rewarding experience for both you and your child—so come join the fun!
